1.Leadership (you are in charge of the field)

2.Arm Strength

3.Quick Foot Work

  1. Flexibility and Athleticism

Scouts generally look for the following in 1st Basemen

  1. Pure ability to hit with natural raw strength

  2. Body Size

  3. Defensive ability

Scouts generally look for the following in a 2b

1.Atleticism (Foot Speed, Range Defensively, quick soft hands)

  1. Above average hitter (hits to all fields)

  2. Baseball Smarts

Scouts generally look for the following in a SS

1.Great Defense

2. Arm Strength

3. Agility, Range, Quick Hands

You can live with below average hitter

Scouts generally look for the following in a 3b

1. Pure ability to hit with natural raw power

2. Adequate defensive skills

3. Arm Strength

Scouts generally look for the following in a RF

  1. Best Arm in the OF

  2. Raw Natural Power

  3. Above Average Hitter

Scouts generally look for the following in a CF

  1. Exceptional Speed (Leadoff Type Hitter, High OBP)

  2. Bunting Ability

  3. Stolen Base Threat
